Do we need a Nationwide NRC? | Panel Discussion |Nalsar University Of Law
 

NALSAR Public Policy Group organized a panel discussion on the theme – "Do we need a nationwide NRC exercise in India?". The members for the panel discussion are as follows -:


1. Mr. Aman Wadud- He is a human rights lawyer practicing at Gauhati High Court. He has been active in providing support to people who are at risk of being stripped of their citizenship rights or are struggling in Assam’s detention centres.



2. Mr. J Sai Deepak- He is an engineer-turned-litigator/arguing counsel currently practicing at Supreme Court of India. He is famous for his work in Sabarimala Temple Entry Case wherein he argued for Sabarimala deity's right to celibacy.


One of the speakers has spoken in support of Nationwide NRC Exercise while the other speaker spoke against it. Prof. Faizan Mustafa joined in the discussion and has provided his insights into the issue.
