- Sir Monier-Williams
(1819 - 1899) was the second Boden Professor of Sanskrit at Oxford University, England: "The Panini grammar reflects
the wondrous capacity of the human brain,
which till today no other country
has been able to produce except India."
Sir Monier-Williams says: "To the Hindus is due the invention of algebra and geometry, and their application to astronomy."
