India takes an anti-Israel stand at the United Nations Human Rights Council. India voted in favour of a resolution that upholds the rights of Palestinians. The UNHRC has adopted two resolutions on the Palestinian people’s inalienable rights and Israeli settlements in the occupied territory. Out of 47 countries, only the U.S., UK, Czech Republic, and Malawi voted in favour of Israel. Remember, in the past, India has been criticised for abstaining from voting on a UN resolution calling for a probe into possible Israeli war crimes against Palestinians.
