The Metropolitan police said a 14-year-old boy was killed in a sword attack in Hainault, east London. Five others were injured, including three members of the public and two officers. The Met said the officers sustained wounds that required surgery, while the injuries sustained by two members of the public were not deemed to be life-threatening.
